Why Washington East Surf offers a FREE Program

Washington East Surf Soccer Club believes that all children should be given the opportunity to participate in the game of soccer regardless if they can afford to or not. Washington East Surf has committed itself to eliminating the number one barrier to have children participate in organized sports. Our goal is to get as many children as possible to play this amazing game of soccer and learn skills that will benefit them on and off the field.

Ages:

Players with a 2017-2020 Birth Years are able to register for Washington East Surf Juniors Free Program. Children ages 4-8 that have any interest in playing soccer are welcome to register for your amazing program.

What the program offers:

The number one goal of Washington East Surf Free Junior Program is to share this amazing game with as many children as possible. We also take pride in growing amazing people off the field that help and grow our community. Surf looks to develop each child’s passion for the game through a proven technical curriculum and game play structure that teaches the fundamentals of game. Washington East Surf Free Program offers each player with:

Trainings

All Washington East Surf Free Juniors team have weekly organized training run by a parent or volunteer coach. All coaches are trained by Surf Directors in the juniors club curriculum

All training are:

  • Regionally located at a training Hub

  • Development Benchmarks

  • Individual technical development

  • 1 to 2 trainings per week based on age

Premier, Developmental Surf Juniors Program

Ages:

U8 – U10 ages groups

Developmental:

Designed for players want more than a traditional recreation league, but not as much as competitive. Teams play in either the SPVJSA Rapids League or the Washington Inland Soccer League. The focus of the Developmental group is to increase the level of competition an challenge for the players while focusing on teaching the building block of the game (technical, tactical, psychological, and physical) through play.

Trainings: Teams will train twice a week in regional or central locations. All teams are coached by Surf trained coaches in the methodology and curriculum of the club. Teams are overseen by Junior Director to facilitate team and player growth. Teams are provided academy trainings by Juniors Directors.

All training are:

  • Regionally located at a training Hub

  • Development Benchmarks

  • Individual technical development

  • 1 to 2 trainings per week based on age

Premier :

The Premier program is designed to train our most competitive players. The is geared towards our boys and girls look to play on our Pre EA and Pre GA teams. These teams will play in the Washington Inland

Soccer League or Washington Premeir League against the highest competition. Trainings are focused on technical and tactical development to compete against top team in the city and state.

Trainings: Teams train two to three times a week. All teams are coached by licensed and club trained coaches. Teams focus on club methodology to prepare players of transitioning them to premier EA and GA teams. All teams are guided by the Junior and club technical director.
