COLUMBIA BASIN DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS

WE Surf Columbia Basin offers three programs for our Surf Development players:

  • Surf Juniors Development for U5 through U8 players

  • Surf Juniors Development for U9 through U10 players

  • Surf Development for U11 through U12 Players

    Ages:
    Players born August 1, 2018 through July 31, 2022 (generally Pre-K Through 2nd grade) are able to register for the Columbia Basin Surf Juniors Development U5-U8 Program.

    Format:
    The program runs 8 weeks in the fall from September through October and 6 weeks in the spring from April through May. Players practice once a week with games every Saturday, with all trainings and games in the south Richland area. Games are organized in an in-house league playing 4v4.

    • Practices are Wednesdays 5:30pm – 6:30pm.

    • Games are scheduled on Saturdays between 8:30am – 10:30am.

    Registration Fees and Uniform:
    Registration includes your jersey for the season.

    • $110 for Fall and Spring

    • $85 for Fall or Spring only

    About the Program:
    The ultimate focus of all WE Surf Juniors programs is to teach the love of the game! All CB Surf Juniors players ranging from age 4 to 8 will learn the building blocks of the game (technical, tactical, psychological, and physical) through play focused on individual skill development and weekly 4v4 small sided games.

    Practices use small-sided games to develop individual skills with the ball and intelligence with and without the ball. Each team implements progressive practice plans developed by our CB Surf Juniors Technical Director. Practices are designed to aid the development of basic motor skills and cognitive skills through basic game play. Players work on individual ball mastery, learning to be comfortable and confident with the ball on the field.

    The program is designed to create an environment where each player has the opportunity and freedom to make their own decisions, explore their creativity, and develop their own style by providing organized training where each player has the ability to touch a ball as often as possible. Each player should not only feel confident controlling and dribbling the ball, but they must have fun and feel they are improving and competing.

    Ages:
    Players born August 1, 2016 through July 31, 2018 (generally 3rd through 4th grade) are able to register for the Columbia Basin Surf Juniors Development U9-U10 Program.

    Format:
    Skills camp kicks off the 2026-2027 season from June 15-17, 2026!

    The program includes skills camp during the summer and runs 10 weeks in the Fall from late August through October and 10 weeks in the spring from March through May. Players practice twice a week with 8 games each season, scheduled on Saturdays. Teams are play 7v7 in a local U9/U10 development soccer league with other local soccer teams and clubs.

    Players are encouraged to attend academy trainings offered by Surf, which are additional trainings focused on individual skill mastery. Academy trainings are scheduled throughout the year.

    Registration Fees and Uniform:
    Registration fees are $400, which includes both Fall and Spring seasons. Registration fees include practice and game fields, referees, league fees, insurance, Academy and Goalkeeper sessions, coaching, and administrative fees.

    Uniforms are $95, which include home and away jerseys, shorts, and socks. Uniform info here.

    Format:
    Skills camp kicks off the 2026-2027 season from June 15-17, 2026!

    The program includes skills camp during the summer and runs 10 weeks in the Fall from late August through October and 10 weeks in the spring from March through May. Players practice twice a week with 8 games each season, scheduled on Saturdays. Teams are play 9v9 in a local U11/U12 development soccer league with other local soccer teams and clubs.

    Registration fees are $500, which includes both Fall and Spring seasons. Registration fees include practice and game fields, referees, league fees, insurance, Academy and Goalkeeper sessions, coaching, and administrative fees.

    Uniforms are $242, which include both home and away kits with jersey, shorts, and socks. Returning players only need to purchase the away kit ($142). Uniform info here.
